louisiana yam pie

| Measure | Ingredient |

| 2 cups | Yams; cooked & mashed |
| 2 | Eggs; beaten |
| ¼ teaspoon | Salt |
| ¾ cup | Milk |
| 1 cup | Sugar |
| ½ cup | Butter; melted |
| 1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 1 teaspoon | Cinnamon (optional) |
| 1 | (9-inch) unbaked pie shell |
Mix all ingredients together well and pour into the pie shell. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip before serving.
