louisiana yam pie

MeasureIngredient
2 cups Yams; cooked & mashed
Eggs; beaten
¼ teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Milk
1 cup Sugar
½ cup Butter; melted
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
(9-inch) unbaked pie shell

Mix all ingredients together well and pour into the pie shell. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour. Top with whipped cream or Cool Whip before serving.
