Louisiana butter pecan coffee cake

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Sugar
2 cups Sifted flour
3 teaspoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
⅓ cup Soft butter
1 \N Egg
1 cup Milk
½ cup Chopped pecans
2 tablespoons Soft butter
¼ cup Brown sugar; packed
2 tablespoons Flour
1 teaspoon Cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift first 4 ingredients together. Add butter, egg and milk. Beat well, about 2 minutes. Pour into greased and floured 9 inch square pan. Blend topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake mixture. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
