MeasureIngredient
Cloves garlic; pressed
1 cup Salad oil
1½ cup Wine vinegar
  Salt & pepper to taste
Bunches leaf lettuce; washed & torn into bite size pieces
Purple onion; sliced
Tomatoes; cut into quarters

Put first 4 ingredients into large wooden salad bowl and beat with a wire whisk. Combine dressing with lettuce and onions. Serve on chilled plates, garnished with tomato quarters. LE MONT
