Measure | Ingredient |

1 cup | Yellow corn meal |
2 teaspoons | Salt |
2 cups | Boiling water |
1 cup | Flour |
2½ teaspoon | Baking powder |
\N \N | Few grains pepper |
1 \N | Egg |
¾ cup | Cooked or canned whole ker- nel corn |
1 teaspoon | Finely chopped onion |
2 tablespoons | Melted butter or substitute |
: Slowly add corn meal and salt to water, cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until thick. Remove from heat; cool. Sift together ¾ cup flour, baking powder and pepper. Add to corn meal and mix well. Beat egg and add together with corn, chopped onions, and butter. : Shape into balls; roll in remaining flour. Drop on hot stew, cover tightly and cook 12 minutes without removing cover.
These are fine with boiled chicken or pork.
