|2 cups||Karo (red label) syrup|
|½ cup||Hot water|
|1||Lump of butter (about 1 tb)|
|½ pounds||Or more raw peanuts rolled with a rolling pin|
|1 teaspoon||Baking soda|
Boil sugar, syrup, water, and butter until golden brown stirring often. Add baking soda to the raw peanuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Pour peanuts into the syrup. Remove from the fire AT ONCE. Pour on on the greased cookie sheet, smoothing over into a thin layer.
When cooled, crack up into serving pieces.
