kohl's peanut brittle

MeasureIngredient
2 cups Sugar
2 cups Karo (red label) syrup
½ cup Hot water
Lump of butter (about 1 tb)
½ pounds Or more raw peanuts rolled with a rolling pin
1 teaspoon Baking soda

Boil sugar, syrup, water, and butter until golden brown stirring often. Add baking soda to the raw peanuts. Grease a cookie sheet. Pour peanuts into the syrup. Remove from the fire AT ONCE. Pour on on the greased cookie sheet, smoothing over into a thin layer.

When cooled, crack up into serving pieces.
