1 quart | Vinegar |
1 cup | Pickling salt |
8 \N | Hot peppers |
8 cloves | Garlic |
⅛ teaspoon | Powdered alum |

Bring water, vinegar and salt to a boil. Pack clean cucumbers in jars. Add 1 or 2 hot peppers, 2 cloves garlic, 2 ts. dill seed or equal fresh dill and ⅛ ts. alum in each jar. fill jars with boiling liquid and seal.
Process in boiling water vath 10 minutes, if desired.
