Honey mulled cider

Yield: 10 cups

Measure Ingredient
10 cups Apple cider,OR apple juice
⅓ cup Honey
⅛ teaspoon Salt
\N dash Ginger, ground
\N dash Nutmeg, ground
5 \N Inches, Stick cinnamon
1½ teaspoon Whole cloves

In crokery cooker combine all above ingredients (tie cinnamon and cloves in cheesecloth, if desired). Cover; heat on low setting 4 to 4½ hours.

(To "mull" means to heat - to infuse with the flavors of the other ingredients, which are generally spices or herb. Both apple cider and red wine lend themselves to be mulled with cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice.)
