Hearty beef noodle soup

Measure Ingredient
2 tablespoons Butter or margarine
⅓ cup Thinly sliced carrots
⅓ cup Thinly sliced celery
⅓ cup Chopped onions
1 pack Lipton Noodles & Sauce - Beef flavor
4 cups Water
1 can (16 oz) whole tomatoes; drained and chopped (reserve liquid)
2 cups Cut-up cooked beef
½ teaspoon Basil
\N \N Salt and Pepper to taste

In large saucepan, melt butter and cook carrots, celery and onion until almost tender. Stir in Lipton Noodles & Sauce, water, tomatoes, reserved liquid, beef and basil; bring to a boil. Continue boiling over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 7 minutes or until noodles are tender. Makes about 4 servings.
