halibut delight

MeasureIngredient
1 pounds Halibut, cut into chunks
1 cup Flour
5½ teaspoon Garlic powder
5½ teaspoon Curry powder (or a bit less)
1 teaspoon Marjoram
2 teaspoons Baking powder
¾ teaspoon Lemon pepper
2 cups Panko (Japanese potato
  Flakes)
To 12 oz. flat beer

Paula Harrison, Fairbanks, Alaska Combine flour, garlic powder, curry powder, marjoram, baking powder, and lemon pepper. Mix well. Slowly add enough flat beer to make a thick batter. Dip halibut in batter and then roll in Panko. Let stand for 2 minutes. Deep fry in 375 F fat until golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper and serve with a tartar sauce or a zesty tomato, horseradish sauce for dipping. Serves 3-4.
