Grandma's lazy day cake

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
⅓ cup Whipping Cream
1¼ cup Sugar
3 larges Eggs
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
1 cup Chopped Pecans
½ cup Butter; Melted
¼ cup Whipping Cream; Or Milk

CAKE

FROSTING

Heat oven to 350F. In 1-quart sauce pan combine ½ cup butter and ⅓ cup whipping cream. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until butter melts (7-8 minutes); set aside. In large mixer bowl combine sugar and eggs.

Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy (1-2 minutes). Add butter mixture, flour, baking powder, and salt. Continue beating, scraping bowl often, untilwell mixed (1-2 minutes). Spread batter into greased and floured 13x9 baking pan. Bake for25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Heat broiler. In small bowl stir together all frosting ingredients until well mixed. Spread over warm cake. Broil 2-4 inches from heat until bubbly (2-4 minutes). Serve warm or cool.
