Yield: 4 Servings
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
3 \N | Fresh Bartlett pears |
2 tablespoons | Butter or margarine |
¼ cup | Sugar |
¼ cup | Cinnamon flavored apple jelly |
2 tablespoons | Lemon juice |
Pare, core and half the peaches; cut each half in thirds lengthwise. Heat butter in a beavy skillet; add pears and cook about 1 to 2 minutes, turning once, until slices are golden and almost tender. (Cover while cooking.) Uncover; mix in sugar, lemon juice and jelly. Heat gently, spooning sauce over pears. Cook until tender and glazed, about 5 minutes. Serve warm with topping. Note: If you cannot find cinnamon flavored apple jelly, use regular apple jelly and add cinnamon to taste.
