German short ribs

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
3 pounds Short ribs
½ cup Water
3 tablespoons Brown sugar
2 eaches Onions
½ cup Chili sauce
3 tablespoons Vinegar
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon Dry mustard
¼ cup Cold water
½ teaspoon Chili powder
2 tablespoons Flour

DIRECTIONS

Flour and pepper short ribs, brown in skillet. Put in crockpot and add sliced onion, water, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, Worch.

sauce, chili powder and dry mustard. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Turn to high, skim excess fat. Thicken sauce with flour mixed with water. Serve with broad egg noodles and cooked carrots. From the files of Earl Shelsby
