Gau gee (fried won tons)

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
12 ounces BBQ pork
2 cans Water chestnuts, chopped
2 \N Stalks green onion, chopped
½ teaspoon Pepper
1 tablespoon Oyster-flavored sauce
1 \N Egg
1 tablespoon Cornstarch
¼ cup Fresh cilantro, chopped
1 pack (4.75 oz.) won ton wrappers

Grind or grate pork. Mix it with all ingredients, except wrapper.

Keep wrappers covered with damp towel while assembling. Place 1 teaspoon of mixture on each wrapper. Dampen edges with water and fold; press edges to seal. May be folded triangle or rectangle. Fry in heated oil; drain. Serve with sweet/sour sauce or hot mustard. Hot Yellow Mustard: Mix dry powdered mustard with water. Add soy sauce.
