|4 cups||Strawberries; fresh|
|1 each||Tb Sugar|
|2 eaches||Eggs; beaten|
|½ cup||White wine dry|
|2 eaches||Tb Oil|
|1 x||Honey cream (see recipe)|
YIELD: 1 SERVINGS
Wash strawberries, remove stems. Pat dry with paper towels. Set aside. In a large deep saucepan or a deep fryer, heat oil to 375~.
Meanwhile, combine the flour and 1 tbsp sugar. Make a well in the center. Combine eggs, wine and the 2 tbsp cookin oil; add to the flour mix. Beat with a rotary beater or wire whisk until smooth. Dip berries, a few at a time, into batter. Fry strawberries, a few at a time, in hot oil for 1 -2 minutes or until golden. Remove with a slotted spoon; drain on paper towels. While warm, roll in the remaining ½ cup sugar, if desired. Cool slightly before eating.
Serve with warm Honey Cream (see recipe).
