Fireside hot cranberry wine cup

Measure Ingredient
4.00 cup Cranberry juice cocktail
2.00 cup Water
1.00 cup Sugar
4.00 \N Inches stick cinnamon
12.00 \N Cloves, whole
1.00 \N Peel of 1/2 lemon, cut in
1.00 \N Strips
2.00 \N Fifth of dry wine
¼ cup Lemon juice

Combine cranberry juice, water, sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and lemon peel in sauce pan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is disolved.

Simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes, strain. Add wine and lemon juice, heat thoroughly, but DO NOT BOIL. Sprinkle nutmeg atop each serving, if desired.
