Famous durgin-park corn bread

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Sugar
2 \N Eggs
¾ teaspoon Salt
1½ cup Milk
2 cups Flour
1 cup Cornmeal
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
1 tablespoon Melted Butter

Mix sugar with beaten eggs. Sift flour, salt and cornmeal together.

Add melted butter and milk. Beat up very quickly and bake in a large buttered pan in a very hot oven (450 degrees).
