3 \N | Pie crust sticks (comes 2 to a box) or favorite pie crust recipe |
1 pounds | Ground beef |
1 tablespoon | Oil |
1 medium | Onion; finely chopped |
1 \N | Green pepper; finely chopped |
1 teaspoon | Capers |
10 \N | Stuffed green olives; chopped |
1 large | Ripe tomato; finely chopped |
1 pinch | Oregano |
\N \N | Salt to taste |
\N \N | Pepper to taste |
\N \N | Hot sauce #3 (see recipe) |
Make pie crust dough according to directions on package and chill while preparing meat mixture. Brown meat in oil. Add the other ingredients (except hot sauce) and simmer for ½ hour. Roll out dough ⅛ inch thick on a slightly floured board and cut with round cookie cutter. On each round of dough, put ½ teaspoon of filling. Fold over and flute edges with a damp fork. Fry in hot grease until golden brown. Drain and serve hot with Hot Sauce.
Well worth the effort! May be made and then frozen.
