|½ cup||Butter Or Margarine; Butter Is Better|
|1½ teaspoon||Vanilla; Not Imitation|
|5 cups||Confectioner's Sugar; 1-1/3 Lbs|
1. Cream butter and shortening with mixer for 3 minutes on high speed.
2. Add vanilla.
3. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed.
4. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often.
5. Mix on high speed for 5 minutes.
For snow white icing, use all vegetable shortening.
