Curried bean and barley soup

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
1 pack (12 oz) great northern beans, picked, washed, and soaked
2 larges Onions; chopped
1 \N Cloves garlic; chopped fine (up to 2)
1 can (4 oz) green chilies; chopped
1 cup Barley
1 teaspoon Curry powder (up to 2)
\N \N Salt to taste

Cook beans in a dutch oven for 2-3 hours, until almost mush. Add remaining ingredients.

Cook for 45-50 minutes, until the barley is cooked.

I served this with fresh baked bread. The whole family loved it, even my picky 14 year old. I'm really glad I was too lazy to stir out of the house this morning.
