Measure | Ingredient |

1 pack | (12 oz) great northern beans, picked, washed, and soaked |
2 larges | Onions; chopped |
1 \N | Cloves garlic; chopped fine (up to 2) |
1 can | (4 oz) green chilies; chopped |
1 cup | Barley |
1 teaspoon | Curry powder (up to 2) |
\N \N | Salt to taste |
Cook beans in a dutch oven for 2-3 hours, until almost mush. Add remaining ingredients.
Cook for 45-50 minutes, until the barley is cooked.
I served this with fresh baked bread. The whole family loved it, even my picky 14 year old. I'm really glad I was too lazy to stir out of the house this morning.
