creole okra

MeasureIngredient
3 cups Sliced okra
½ cup Chopped onion
½ cup Chopped green pepper
¼ cup Butter or margarine
3 cups Chopped tomatoes
4 teaspoons Sugar
1¼ teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Pepper

Saut‚ okra, onion and green pepper in butter for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Add remaining ingredients and cook over low heat for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Yield: 6 to 8 servings.
