Creamy oatmeal jim leff's way

Measure Ingredient
¾ cup Old-fashioned oatmeal
1⅓ cup Cold water
\N \N Salt (opt)
1 tablespoon Maple syrup or honey (opt)

In an earthenware dish or heavy ovenproof casserole with tight-fitting lid, combine oatmeal, water, a pinch of salt and maple syrup, honey or brown sugar if using them. Cover tightly and place in 225'F. oven for 7 hours, or overnight, until the oatmeal reaches desired consistency.
