5 cups | Broccoli florets; sliced (1 bunch) |
4 cups | Cauliflower florets; sliced, 1 small head |
1 small | Red onion; thinly sliced |
1 cup | Light mayonnaise |
1 cup | Light sour cream |
1 tablespoon | Granulated sugar |
1 tablespoon | White vinegar |
½ teaspoon | Salt |
¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
1 dash | Worcestershire sauce |
This terrific winter salad is adapted from the best-seller Fare for Friends (Key Porter Books). It's a pleasant change from the usual tossed salads.
In large bowl, combine broccoli, cauliflower and onion. Stir together mayonnaise, sour cream, sugar, vinegar, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; pour over vegetables and toss. (Salad can be covered and refrigerated for up to 2 hours.) Makes about 8 servings.
