2 cups | Chopped pecans |
2 cups | Whole candied cherries |
1 cup | Mixed candied fruit |
½ cup | Cream sherry |

2 teaspoons | Vanilla extract |
3 cups | All-purpose flour |
2 teaspoons | Salt |
In large bowl, combine Nestle Toll House semi-sweet chocolate morsels, dates, pecans, candied cherries and candied fruit; add sherry and let stand 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In large bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored (about 5 minutes). Gradually beat in sugar and vanilla extract; set aside. In medium bowl, combine flour and salt. Stir into fruit mixture; mix well. Fold in egg mixture. Spread into greased and floured 9-inch tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. Cool 15 minutes; remove cake from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes one fruit cake.
