| Measure | Ingredient |

| ¾ pounds | Cranberries (3 cups) |
| 1 cup | Finely chopped dried figs |
| 1 cup | Chopped onion |
| ¼ cup | Packed brown sugar |
| 1 tablespoon | Grated orange rind |
| ¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
| ½ cup | Water |
| ½ cup | Red wine vinegar |
| ¼ cup | Maple syrup |
In heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for about 50 minutes or until thickened, stirring frequently. Remove from heat; let cool. Source: The Vancouver Sun Oct 5/94
