Clam savory

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
3 tablespoons Butter
1 small Onion, chopped
½ \N Green pepper, seeded and finely chopped
6½ ounce Can chopped clams, drained
1 cup Grated Swiss cheese
1 tablespoon Tomato paste
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Sherry
⅛ teaspoon Cayenne pepper
4 slices Buttered toast

Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion and green pepper; saute for three minutes. Add clams, cheese, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, sherry and cayenne pepper; cook, stirring constantly, until cheese melts. Pile on toast and serve hot.
