Measure | Ingredient |

3 \N | (1-oz) squares unsweetened chocolate |
1 cup | Sugar |
½ cup | Light Karo syrup |
¼ cup | Water |
1 cup | Evaporated milk |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
Melt chocolate over hot water in double boiler. Add sugar and syrup and blend thoroughly. Add water and mix. Cook to a soft ball stage (235ø).
Remove from heat and add milk and vanilla. Stir. Will keep in closed jar in refrigerator indefinitely. Heat to serve. Yield: approximately 2 cups.
