Chocolate - peanut cookies

Yield: 5 dozen

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter / margarine; softened
1½ cup Sugar
2 eaches Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla extract
2 cups All-purpose flour
⅔ cup Cocoa
¾ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Finely chopped peanuts

Cream butter; gradually add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy. Stir in eggs and vanilla.

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; add to creamed mixture, beating well. Stir in the chopped peanuts.

Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 14 minutes. Cool cookies on wire racks.

Yield: about 5-½ dozen
