Measure Ingredient
1 cup Flour
2 teaspoons B. powder
½ teaspoon Salt
¾ cup Sugar
2 tablespoons Cocoa
½ cup Milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
2 tablespoons Melted shortening
¾ cup Chopped nuts
¾ cup Brown sugar
¼ cup Cocoa
1¾ cup Hot water

TOPPING

Sift dry ingredients. Add milk, vanilla, & shortening. Mix until smooth. Add nuts. Pour into 9" cake pan. Mix brown sugar & cocoa.

Sprinkle over batter. Pour hot water over entire batter. Bake at 350 deg. 40-45 min. cool slightly before serving.
