Chive garden rolls

Measure Ingredient
1 each Egg
1 cup Nonfat cottage cheese -- 8
\N ounce Softened
¼ cup Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons Honey
1 teaspoon Salt
1 pack Active dry yeast -- 1/4 oz
1 each Egg -- beaten

½ cup Warm water
¼ cup Wheat germ
3¼ cup All-purpose flour
3 tablespoons Fresh chives -- or dried
\N \N Chopped
1 small Onion -- finely chopped

TOPPING

In a mixing bowl, combine the egg, cottage cheese, oil, honey and salt. Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to egg mixture. Add wheat germ and 1½ cups flour. Mix on med. speed for 3 min. Add chives and enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured board; knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 min. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled about l hr. Punch dough down; roll out to ¾ in. thickness.Cut with a 3 in. round cutter. Place on greased baking sheets. Cover and let rise until doubled, about 45 min. Brush tops with egg and sprinkle with onion. Bake at 350 deg. for 15 to 20 mon or until the rolls are golden brown. Yield; about 1 doz.
