8 pounds | Ground beef |
¼ cup | Chili powder or more to taste |
1 tablespoon | Salt |
½ teaspoon | Red pepper |
1 teaspoon | Black pepper |
2 eaches | 48oz cans tomato soup or tomatoes |
7 quarts | Red kidney beans (14 19oz cans) drained and rinsed |
SERVES 50
Brown the beef, garlic and onions until done. Add seasonings, soup and beans. cook slowly for about 30-60 minutes, stirring occasionally. VARIATION: For deluxe chili, provide bowls of grated cheese, chopped onions, tomato and sour cream as toppings for individual servings. Origin: Homestyle, Canadian Classics.
