1½ cup Bacon/small ham chunks
  Fried crisp
2 quarts Tomato sauce
1 small Chopped onion
5 mediums Chopped shallots
1 cup Fresh diced artichokes
1 can (15-oz) kidney beans opt
2 cups Potato puree
2 cups Michigan dry wine
2 tablespoons Dried parsley
1 tablespoon Thyme
1 tablespoon Oregano
3 tablespoons Chili powder
4 tablespoons Maple syrup

Combine bacon, tomato sauce, onion, shallots, artichokes, beans, potato puree, wine, parsley, thyme, oregano, chili and maple syrup in a pot. Heat to boiling, then simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
