Carrot-oatmeal cookies with orange frosting

Measure Ingredient
2 cups Sifted whole wheat flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
¼ teaspoon Baking soda
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Cinnamon
1 cup Rolled oats
1 cup Raisins; (optional)
½ cup Butter or oil
1 cup Brown or raw sugar
2 \N Beaten eggs
⅓ cup Milk
1½ cup Grated raw carrot

Sift flour, measure and sift with baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices. Add rolled oats, raisins (optional). Cream fat and sugar. Mix well.

Drop by teaspoon onto a greased baking sheet. Bake 15 minutes at 350°. Let cool.

Frost with icing made with powdered sugar that a small amount of orange juice has been added to right consistency to spread on cookies.
