Caramel popcorn with peanuts

Yield: 24 Servings

Measure Ingredient
7 quarts Popped popcorn
2 quarts Peanuts
1 \N Box box brown sugar
2 \N Sticks butter or margarine
½ cup Light corn syrup
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Vanilla
¼ teaspoon (heaping) baking soda

Combine sugar, syrup, butter & salt in saucepan & bring to a boil. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat & add vanilla & soda. Stir well. Pour over corn & stir to coat. Sprinkle peanuts over corn & bake at 250 for 1 hour. Stir twice. Remove from oven & pour onto waxed paper. Separate kernels.
