caramel crisps

1 Dozen
2 cups Pillsbury's Best All Purpose flour
½ teaspoon Salt
1 cup Firmly packed brown sugar
½ cup Butter, softened
⅓ cup Shortening
½ cup Almond paste
1 tablespoon Milk
1 teaspoon Almond extract
  Sugar to sprinkle

Preheat oven to 350. In large mixer bowl combine all ingredients except granulated sugar. Blend well.

Roll out, half at a time, on floured surface to ⅛-inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes with cookie cutters. Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake at 350 for 8 to 10 minutes. Cool before removing from cookie sheets.
