| Measure | Ingredient |

| 2 cups | Carambola (star fruit) cubed (3/4 lb) |
| ¼ cup | Sugar |
| ½ cup | Dry red wine |
| 1 tablespoon | Ginger, peeled finely chopped |
| ¼ teaspoon | Ground cloves |
| 2 tablespoons | White wine vinegar |
Combine all ingredients in medium saucepan and stir well. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and cook for 25 minutes or until slightly thickened.
