Measure | Ingredient |

1½ cup | Seedless raisins |
1½ cup | Water |
1 \N | Slightly beaten egg |
1 cup | Brown sugar |
2 tablespoons | Salad oil |
1 tablespoon | Grated orange peel |
2½ cup | Sifted all purpose |
\N \N | Flour |
1 teaspoon | Salt |
2 teaspoons | Baking powder |
½ teaspoon | Soda |
Combine raisins and water; bring to boiling. Cool to room temperature. Mix next 4 ingredients. Stir in raisin mixture. Sift together dry ingredients; add, beating well. Pour into greased 8½ x 4½ x 2½ inch loaf pan. Bake at 325 degrees about 60 minutes or till done.
