| 2 cups | Water |
| 1 cup | Milk |
| 3 tablespoons | Butter or margarine |
| 2 cups | Chopped green cabbage |
| 1 cup | Finely shredded carrots |
| 2⅔ cup | Instant potato flakes |
| ½ teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
In medium saucepan combine water, milk, and butter. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Add cabbage and carrots and reduce heat to low.
Simmer 3 to 4 minutes until vegetables are tender. Remove from heat and stir in potato flakes with fork until mixture is well blended.
Stir in salt and pepper. 8 servings.
