|2 cups||Shelled fresh butter beans|
|1 tablespoon||Bacon drippings|
In a saucepan stir together beans, water, butter, bacon drippings and salt.
Cover and cook over medium heat until beans are tender, about 45 minutes.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
