| 2 cups | Shelled fresh butter beans |
| 2 cups | Water |
| 2 tablespoons | Butter |
| 1 tablespoon | Bacon drippings |
| ½ teaspoon | Salt |
In a saucepan stir together beans, water, butter, bacon drippings and salt.
Cover and cook over medium heat until beans are tender, about 45 minutes.
Makes 2 to 3 servings.
