| Measure | Ingredient |

| 2 cups | Biscuit mix |
| ⅔ cup | Buttermilk |
| 4 tablespoons | Butter; softened |
| ¼ teaspoon | Soda (up to) |
| 12 tablespoons | Butter; melted |
Cut butter into biscuit mix until size of peas. Add soda to buttermilk. Add to first mixture. Stir until batter follows fork. Knead 10-15 strokes. Pat or roll dough to ¼ inch. Cut with biscuit cutter. Dip biscuits in melted butter & place in pans. (May freeze or keep in refrigerator for 2-3 days).
Bake 10-15 minutes at 450. (May substitute ⅔ cup milk with 1 tablespoon vinegar for the buttermilk.)
