Bife a solar

Yield: 6 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 \N 1 1/2lb sirloin tip steaks, ea cut into 3 serving pcs
\N \N Salt
4 cloves Garlic, sm, minced
3 \N Bay leaves, crushed
3 tablespoons Butter
½ cup Corn oil
6 slices Firm bread, sourdough pref
6 \N Eggs, beaten
½ cup Milk
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

"The Bife a Solar was so good that we would like the recipe for our collection." Restaurante Solar do Loreto, Lisbon, Portugal Sprinkle both sides os meat with salt, garlic, and bay leaves. Place butter in 10" skillet over med high heat until sizzling. Brown meat, 4 mins ea side. Remove from pan and keep warm. Reserve pan drippings. Heat oil in another skillet until very hot. Add bread and fry quickly, 10-15 sec to a side. Drain and keep warm. Scramble eggs with oil left in second skillet. Cover, keep warm. Add milk and Worcestershire sauce to pan drippings. Cook over low heat for a few mins stirring to loosen browned bits from bottom of pan. Arrnage fried bread slices on individual serving plates. Top with steak, scrambled eggs and sauce.
