better batter

MeasureIngredient
1 cup Flour
2 tablespoons Baking powder
1¼ teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Sugar
1 tablespoon Salad oil (pure virgin olive is best)
1 cup Water

Passed down from my Grandfather who hails from the English Midlands....

Combine all that and start dipping and deep frying. The batter turns out light, crisp and brown.
