|1 tablespoon||Green onion; sliced|
|½ teaspoon||Dried basil leaf|
|½ cup||Creamed cottage cheese (4oz)|
|1 cup||All-purpose flour; sifted|
|1 teaspoon||Baking powder|
Melt butter or margarine in a small skillet. Add chives or green onion and basil. Cook, Stirring constantly, until herbs soften.
Remove skillet from heat. Stir in cottrage cheese; set aside. Sift together flour, salt and baking powder into a medium bowl. Add cottage-cheese mixture. Stir until combined. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into simmering soup. Cover soup and simmer until dumpling are firms, about
15 minutes. Makes about 12.
