|2 cups||Vegetable or chicken stock or water|
|1 cup||Pot or pearl barley|
Basics for new cooks:
In saucepan, bring water and salt to boil over high heat; stir in barley. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer for 40 minutes or until tender and liquid has evaporated. Makes about 3 cups, or 4 servings.
