Basic bread pudding

Yield: 8 servings

Measure Ingredient
2 \N Eggs
2 cups Hot milk
½ cup Brown sugar
1 tablespoon Butter
¼ cup Raisins
¼ teaspoon Salt
2 cups Buttered bread, cubed
1 teaspoon Cinnamon or nutmeg
1 teaspoon Vanilla

Beat egg well, add sugar, salt, spice and milk. Beat til very smooth. Add butter, bread cubes raisins and vanilla.

Pour into buttered baking dish; oven poach until firm, about 45 minutes, at 325 F.
