Juice of 2 lemons
1¼ cup Ketchup
½ cup Worcestershire sauce
¼ cup Water
¼ cup Brown sugar
¼ cup Chopped onion
4 tablespoons Meat drippings (see note)
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce

Combine lemon juice, ketchup, Worcestershire, water, brown sugar, onion, drippings, and Tabasco and simmer 30 to 45 minutes.

NOTE: To get meat drippings, cut brisket fat into ½ inch pieces and heat in heavy skillet over low heat, stirring frequently, until rendered, about

30 minutes.
