|2 mediums||Onions finely chopped|
|1||Clove garlic; finely chopped|
|¼ cup||Vegetable oil|
|2 tablespoons||Chili powder|
|½ cup||Lemon juice|
|¼ cup||Worstershire sauce|
|⅓ cup||Finely packed brown sugar|
|2 tablespoons||Prepared mustard|
|1 tablespoon||Crushed celery seed|
|2 teaspoons||Crushed cumin seed|
|2 tablespoons||Butter or margarine|
Saute onions and garlic in vegetable oil 'til golden and tender (about 10 minutes). Stir in the chili powder, cook one minute. Stir in remaining ingredients (except butter). Bring to boil. Lower heat, simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring often. Stir in butter. Makes about 4½ cups.
Keeps covered in fridge for months.
