½ cup Butter
1 each Onion, large, finely chopped
1 each Celery rib, finely chopped
1 pounds Crabmeat
1 teaspoon Parsley, chopped
2 eaches Garlic cloves, finely minced
6 eaches French bread sliced 1" thick
¼ cup Milk or enough to soak bread
1 each Egg, well beaten
1 x Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup Bread crumbs

In a skillet, saute onions and celery in butter until clear and tender. Add crabmeat, parsley, and garlic.

Stir fry about 10 minutes. Add French bread and egg.

Salt and pepper to taste. Mix well. Place in a buttered baking dish. Cover with bread crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes. From "Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie, File Gumbo" formatted by Mary Dishongh Bowles.
