| ½ pounds | Ground beef |
| 1 teaspoon | Dry mustard |
| 1 medium | Onion; minced |
| ¼ teaspoon | Poultry seasoning |
| 1 teaspoon | Salt |
| ⅓ cup | Rice |
| ¼ teaspoon | Pepper |
| 2 cups | Tomato juice |
Mix all ingredients, except tomato juice, with ½ cup water. Form in 8 balls and brown lightly in heavy kettle. Add tomato juice; cover, and simmer about 1½ hours, adding a little water when necessary.
