Aunt dodie's butter cream cake^

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Butter
1½ cup Sugar
1 cup Milk
1 teaspoon Lemon extract
2¼ cup Flour, sifted
2½ teaspoon Baking powder
3 \N Egg whites, well beaten

Cream together butter and sugar. Add milk a little at a time. Add lemon. Gradually beat in flour and baking soda. Carefully fold in beaten egg whites. Turn into greased and floured pan and bake in a moderate oven until done.
