Apricot bran chews

Yield: 4 dozen

Measure Ingredient
⅓ cup Whole Bran Cereal
¼ cup Water
¾ cup Butter; softened
¼ cup Packed Brown Sugar
1 \N Egg
¼ cup Honey
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 cup Flour
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
¼ cup Dry Nonfat Milk Powder
1 cup Oatmeal
¾ cup Walnuts; chopped
1 cup Dried Apricots; chopped

Combine bran and water. Set aside. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add egg, beat until fluffy. Mix in honey, vanilla and bran. Combine remaining ingredients with butter mixture and mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls 2" apart on a greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375øF for 10 minutes or until golden brown and firm.
